What do CEFR levels mean?

The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) defines language proficiency from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery). Each level outlines specific skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Find out what each level represents so you can set realistic, measurable goals for your Italian studies!

Learning Italian beyond the class

Formal lessons by experienced teachers provide a solid foundation, that’s a given. But remember that relying only on classroom study won’t get you fluent.

Books and lectures offer the theory, but language must be lived. Without real-world practice with native speakers your progress will definitely plateau. That’s why you should consider a local experience: to break through that barrier!

Learning by living and experiencing

True fluency only comes from immersing yourself in the language every day!

Watch Italian films, participate in cultural events, and practice with native speakers. Immersion not only boosts your vocabulary and pronunciation but also deepens your cultural understanding, making the learning process dynamic and fun.
